Giovanni is an Italian composer based in London. Starting as a violin player, his music has been shaped by his love for the orchestra as well as a growing passion for electronic music.
His works range from small ensemble to orchestra, where most of them are characterised by a close collaboration with performers in order create new and exciting blend of acoustic instruments and electronic textures. Example of these are "The Last Crossroad" (Original soundtrack), “From Friul” for large ensemble and theremin, "Glimpses" for string quartet.
Giovanni has developed a strong interest in storytelling and film-scoring that has been shaped in many collaborations becoming a central part of his production. In the past few years, he wrote music for “The last crossroad”, selected in more than ten festival across Europe, "Sotto le stelle fredde", "Memory | Fashion Film".
He has been commissioned also for an increasing number of jingles and music for advertising by brands such as Helbiz, Ducati, Passoni design, Ksenia security. These works have taken part of marketing campaigns and aired on national tv such as Sky. In 2021 he co-founded THE SHERPA LAB., music production studio focused on bespoke music and sound design.
Giovanni studied composition at “Giuseppe Verdi” conservatory and “Scuola Civica Claudio Abbado” in Milan. In 2021 he finished a Master’s degree in composition at Trinity Laban in London where he studied with John Ashton Thomas.
